Anne + Jack

It seems perfect to start the new year and my new blog with the final wedding of 2013!

I was honored to work with Anne this past November to create bridesmaids dresses for her sister and sisters in law. I felt an extra connection to this wedding, as I was also planning my own November wedding throughout the time that we worked together. It was the first time I was able to share my insights with a client not only as not only a designer, but also a bride-to-be!

What I especially loved about working with Anne, is the fact that she wanted each of her bridesmaids to be able to pick their own style of dress.  I was able to provide all of them with a variety of sketches to choose from and it was especially exciting to see what they choose based on their own individual style.

The fabric Anne selected was an emerald colored satin.. (Pantone's 2013 color of the year!)
I love the way the fabric complimented Anne's gorgeous satin gown. The sheen of the emerald fabric also worked well to pick up on all of the gathering details of the dresses.

Congrats Anne & Jack!
